Objectives
The objectives of this work package are twofold. First, the partners will take stock of evidence arising from Work package 3 and will make proposals for refinement of the prototype ESeC prepared in Work package 2. Second, each partner will outline plans for the validation studies that they will conduct.
Description of work
Partners will provide the main methodological inputs for this work package. Through their detailed knowledge of national statistical sources (and assisted by Partner 3 who holds detailed knowledge of the mappings between national occupational classifications and ISCO88) the partners will take stock of the evidence accumulated within Work package 3 and will make suggestions to refine the prototype ESeC.
The work package will culminate with a workshop of all partners to agree the changes to be made to the prototype ESeC. Each partner will detail the plans they will undertake to validate the prototype ESeC. All partners will agree these plans.
Following the workshop UK partners will produce a report on the evaluation of the prototype and the validation plans.
Deliverables
A report on the evaluation of the prototype ESeC and cross-national validation plans.
Milestones 2 and expected result
Agreement by all partners on the format of the prototype ESeC and cross-national validation plans.
1 For STREPs/STIPs each WP must relate to one (and only one) of the following three possible Activity Types: RTD/Innovation activities, Demonstration activities, Management activities.
2 Milestones are points where major results have successfully been achieved as the basis for the next phase of work, or which serve as control points at which decisions are needed; for example concerning which of several technologies will be adopted as the basis for the next phase of the project.
