Objectives
To produce from EU harmonised statistical sources a statistical compendium showing variations in socio-economic indicators across the categories of the prototype ESeC for all countries of the European Union. To compare the prototype ESeC with the UK NS-SEC.Description of work
The derivation matrices developed within Work package 2 will be applied to the European Labour Force Survey and to the European Community Household Panel to generate comparative information on a selection of important social indicators, for consideration by the partners in Work package 4. UK LFS data will be used to compare ESeC and NS-SEC.
Deliverables
A web-based resource showing variation in social indicators for all countries of the EU according to the prototype ESeC.
Milestones 2 and expected result
Provision of prima facie evidence of variation in major social indicators by categories of the prototype ESeC.
