We are seeking a professorial-level researcher and co-Director of the ESRC-funded Research Centre on Micro-Social Change (MiSoC) with the ambition and ability to build on MiSoC’s record of the past two decades, to help shape a new research agenda, and to lead MiSoC beyond 2019.
This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding individual to provide leadership and shape the future of research on the effects of public policies and income distribution in cross-national perspective, making use of EUROMOD, the multi-country tax-benefit microsimulation model.
In these turbulent times, good evidence to inform policy is crucial. We are seeking a talented and ambitious quantitative researcher to develop a programme of research and lead the Understanding Society Policy Unit within ISER, to inform crucial policy debates. A suitably qualified candidate will be awarded the title of Professor of Social Policy.
This role will be an integral part of the survey methods team, providing statistical support for a range of activities that are designed to improve the quality of the Study and the support and resources provided for data users.
