A key feature of the ESEC project has been the level of input from European NSIs. If ESEC is to be a valuable classificatory and research tool, it is vital that it is tested in as many EU member states as possible. For some member states ESEC might also prove invaluable as a national statistical resource.
Not all data collection and analysis is done by NSIs; much is contracted to other professional research organisations. We welcome comments on and participation in the project from representatives of this sector.
Any organisation wishing to pilot the classification on their own data sources can download a matrix and syntax for version 4 of ESeC.
