The full programme has been announced for the first European Social Science Genomics Network Conference in Bologna this month.

The Conference will bring together researchers from across Europe working on the ground-breaking intersection in research between genomic and social science data. The Conference keynotes will be from the author and broadcaster, Dr Adam Rutherford and Professor Melinda Mills from the University of Oxford.

The Conference is preceded by a training session led by Univeristy of Essex experts in DNA methylation alongside analysis of socio and economic data collected by Understanding Society, the UK Household Longitiduinal Study.

Professor Emilia Del Bono, Director of the ESRC Research Centre on Micro-Social Change, said: ‘We are delighted to be co-organising this Conference, the first of its kind and such an important and vibrant new area of social science research. This Conference will be the first opportunity many of these ground-breaking research teams will have had to be together to hear about the latest research and methods. We are thrilled to have over 50 new pieces of research presented at the Conference.’
