Abstract:
Uses data from the UK 2000 Time Use Survey to explore differences in patterns of behaviour between boys and girls, which may be associated with greater educational attainment of girls. Shows that gender linked patterns of behaviour established by age 10, that girls do more reading and more homework. Boys do more computing. Differences between the children of highly educated parents are smaller
