Abstract:

This paper presents new findings from an analysis of a recent survey of young people which included questions about their relationships with their fathers and their mothers and also includes measures of self-reported happiness and self-esteem. The findings add to other recent research which has indicated the importance of young people’s relationships with their fathers as well as with their mothers.
