Improvement of EUROMOD Advanced Statistics Calculator

Background:
The Joint Research Centre uses the EUROMOD microsimulation model to analyse the ex-ante impact of tax and social benefits reforms in EU Member States. EUROMOD is a programming platform of EU countries’ personal income taxes and benefits (including benefits such as unemployment, family benefits, etc.) applied to all household revenues sources, including wages, self-employment income, pensions and unemployment benefits.

Description:
The aim of this project is to expand the scope of the results provided by the current EUROMOD Statistic Presenter, in order to allow for more comprehensive and flexible policy analyses. For this purpose, a new tool will be created, along with the results already provided by the four existing templates, producing a set of additional indicators and allowing extra flexibility in the definition of variables and population groups.

Outputs:
A fully functioning new plug-in and a user’s manual.
