We are pleased to announce the 4th UKMOD Fest, a gathering of developers, users and friends of UKMOD, the free tax-benefit microsimulation model for the UK and its constituent nations, to share experiences and ideas related to the model and its applications. The event is online. The day will also feature a free UKMOD advanced training workshop.
Developed and updated by the Centre for Microsimulation and Policy Analysis at ISER, UKMOD is the only UK tax-benefit model that is truly accessible to everyone, where both the model and the underlying data are available free of charge. Developed and maintained over more than 20 years, with a lively community of users within academia, institutions and the third sector, UKMOD allows the creation and analysis of countless counterfactual scenarios for past, present and future years. Summary statistics illustrate results for different regions of the UK and bespoke individual profiles, while access to the micro-data and step-by-step explanation of how such data is created guarantees quality and transparency. And for those who do not wish to download the model and the data, an online version provides basic functionalities
