Survey Futures – second open forum announced for 9 October

Houses

Social survey data collection in the UK faces currently some severe challenges, but has also been presented with some new opportunities. Recognising these challenges, the ESRC has commissioned the Survey Data Collection Methods Collaboration, to be known as Survey Futures, to carry out a three-year programme of research and capacity-building activities with a view to ensuring that it will remain possible to carry out high quality social surveys of the kinds required by the public and academic sectors.

Survey Futures is holding the second of a series of Survey Practice Forum events on Monday 9 October 2023 at Broadway House, Tothill Street, London SW1 from 10.30am-4pm. There will be an option to join the event online.

All are welcome, but we particularly encourage the participation of survey commissioners, survey methodologists, survey managers, survey designers and survey data users.

Survey Futures is an ESRC-funded collaboration including National Centre for Research Methods, Office for National Statistics, University of Essex, University of Warwick, University of Manchester, University of Ulster, University College London, London School of Economics and Political Science, University of Lausanne, Ipsos, University of Southampton, National Centre for Social Research, Kantar Public, City University of London.

More details to come. Please reserve your place now and we will share a full agenda shortly.

Registration is free but essential: https://surveyfuturesforum2.eventbrite.co.uk
