Family support amid rising life expectancy – Resolution Foundation event on intergenerational interdependence

ISER Director Professor Emily Grundy is among the panellists at an event hosted by the Resolution Foundation on Monday 11th November at 9.30am, to discuss intergenerational interdependence.

Britain is getting older, and with multi-generational living on the rise, family interactions between the generations are changing. From caring for family members aged 18 months to 80 to financial support and inheritances, lifting the lid on the changes that are taking place at home help us understand how the country is adapting to longer living.

How will our ageing society affect family interactions?
What does living longer mean for caring responsibilities? And how should the wealth of one generation be passed down to the next?

This event is the second in a series of events in which the Resolution Foundation’s Intergenerational Centre invites experts to discuss intergenerational interdependence in a changing world.
The Resolution Foundation will host an expert panel including ISER’s Professor Emily Grundy, Mark Bogard
Chief Executive of Family Building Society, and Baroness Camilla Cavendish to be chaired by Lord David Willetts – to discuss the changes a longer life will bring to our families. An audience Q&A will follow.
