Areas of Research
MiSoC’s research programme for 2014-2019 is called “Understanding individual and family behaviours in a new era of uncertainty and change” and covers three main areas. Cutting across all three is a programme of methodological research.
How individuals and families are affected by and react to changes in the labour market and health, and how well they are protected by the welfare state
How parents and public institutions combine to affect children and young people's development
How new migrants are integrated into society, and the persistence of ethnic inequalities in education and the labour market
MiSoC also coordinates a research network on preference and expectation formation. Read more here.
