ISER and the Department of Economics at the University of Essex have been awarded £370,000 of funding to research the impact of the recession on the labour market.
Understanding the impact of recession on labour market behaviour in Britain is an integrated, comprehensive and innovative programme of research funded by the Economic and Social Research Council that will investigate the behaviour of individuals and households in response to economic recession.
The programme, made up of four projects, aims to enhance our understanding of individual and household behaviour within the context of a highly volatile economic environment.
The research is led by ISER’s Mark Taylor, but also involves Heather Laurie, Mark Bryan and Steve Pudney from ISER and Melvyn Coles from the Department of Economics at the University of Essex.
