ISER contributes to Doctoral Training Centre success

The University of Essex has become one of only 21 Doctoral Training Centres (DTC) accredited by the UK Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) following a highly competitive selection process.

ISER plays a leading role in the Essex DTC., and offers four pathways in the following areas:

  • Applied Economics and Data Analysis
  • Survey Methodology
  • Longitudinal Social Research
  • Research Methods in Health

Some of these are interdisciplinary and are offered in conjunction with the Departments of Economics and Sociology and the School of Health and Human Sciences.

ISER is encouraging expressions of interest and applications from students and can offer doctoral supervision across many topics. Anyone interested in applying to ISER for postgraduate study should check out our Study web pages
