Around 20 researchers attended a 3-day workshop at ISER to learn how to make use of EUROMOD.
EUROMOD enables researches and policy analysts to calculate, in a comparable manner, the effects of taxes and benefits on household incomes and work incentives for the population of each country and for the EU as a whole. It has been developed by a team of researchers based at ISER and across Europe and is headed up by leading economist Holly Sutherland.
The three-day workshop, attended by researchers from as far away as Hungary, Italy and Latvia included a range of presentations and practical hands-on exercises looking at how to access and make best use of the sophisticated computer-based tool.
