ISER’s Stephen Jenkins and Lucinda Platt, currently undertaking research at the Melbourne Institute, have been in Canberra this week giving talks to policy makers in Australia as part of a workshop on Social Inclusion and Disadvantage.
The workshop involved a number of researchers from the Melbourne Institute who talked about research they have been doing for the the Department of Education Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR).
Stephen and Lucinda were invited as guest speakers, the former talking about The dynamics of social assistance benefit receipt in Britain and the latter about Ethnic Minorities in the UK Labour Market.
