ISER graduates Dr Chiara Pronzato, Dr Annette Jäckle and Dr Priscilla Ferreira are congratulated by ISER Director Stephen Jenkins
Three researchers from ISER were among the thousands of University of Essex students being awarded their degrees last week.
Chiara Pronzato, Priscilla Ferreira and Annette Jäckle were all awarded their PhDs at a ceremony in the Ivor Crewe Lecture Hall at the University and a special reception was held for them at ISER afterwards.
Chiara Pronzato has been awarded a PhD in Economics. Her research interests are in the areas of family and labour economics. She is now working at the DONDENA Centre for Research on Social Dynamics at Bocconi University in Italy.
Priscilla Ferreira has been awarded her PhD in Economics. A specialist in labour economics, she will continue her career at the University of Minho, Portugal, as an Assistant Professor.
Annette Jäckle was awarded her PhD in Applied Social and Economic Research. She works at ISER as a Chief Research Officer where she specialises in research on methodological aspects of longitudinal surveys, particularly data collection methods, measurement error and non-response.
The three graduates were among some 1,800 students who attended graduation ceremonies across three days. ISER currently has around 25 PhD students studying at its University of Essex base. It is renowned for providing a highly stimulating yet rigorous environment for a small number of carefully selected PhD students to work with an internationally recognised team of academics. With an established infrastructure that guarantees first-rate supervision and support, ISER has a reputation that is second to none as a place to undertake and be involved with cutting edge sociological and economic research.
