Curriculum vitae

Nuno is an economist with a lifelong interest in education economics. His current work focuses on the impact of breadfeeding on cognitive and non-cognitive outcomes. It is hoped it will shed light on its implications later in life.

His doctoral research at UCL focused on the impact of English academies and how attending an academy affects pupils’ cognitive and non-cognitive skills as well as their subject choices at age 14. Changes in school features and intakes are also discussed. His pre-doctoral research focused on public choice in education and on teaching methods.

Nuno is a seminar leader for Economics of Public Policy (undergraduate) and Impact Evaluation Methods (postgraduate) at UCL.
