Dr Carla Xena Research Officer, University of Essex


Carla Xena is a  Political Scientist interested in political attitudes and survey methodology. She currently collaborates with the Sampling and Weighting Expert Panel (SWEP) of the European Social Survey (ESS). She completed her PhD at the University of Essex, Department of Government. She holds a MSc in Political Behaviour from the same University and a MA in Political and Social Sciences from Pompeu Fabra University, where she earned her BA degree in Political Science and Public Administration. Prior to joining ISER, she was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Oxford, Merton College. Her most recent work explores the relationship between labor market competition and anti-immigrant attitudes and has been published at the American Journal of Political Science.
