Regional policy evaluation: interactive fixed effects and synthetic cohortsISER External Seminars

We analyze in this paper the extension of treatment effect estimation methods to factor
models using Bai (2009) and we show how to compare it with synthetic control approaches
as developed by Abadie and coauthors. These methods are applied to a regional policy of
enterprise zones implemented in France in the 1990s.
