Panel data analysis of the drivers of public confidence in the Criminal Justice SystemISER External Seminars

Following the Policing Green Paper, The Government has centred the performance management framework for the Police on measures of public confidence drawn from the British Crime Survey. The current Public Service Agreement for the Criminal Justice System (PSA24) also emphasises public confidence as a key indicator of success. This paper will present preliminary panel data analysis at the level of Police Force Area to test some key hypotheses about the drivers of these confidence measures.
