Curriculum vitae

I am Giacomo, from Rome, Italy and I’m currently in my second year as an ISER PhD student in Economics at the University of Essex.

I hold a Master’s Degree in Health Economics from Sapienza, Universita di Roma, and started my PhD project in October 2023, focusing on Pregnancy and Early Childhood.

Under the supervision of Professor Michaela Benzeval and Dr. Edith Aguirre, I’m part of the Understanding Society team, funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), through the SeNSS program.

My research interests lie in child health, health economics, households economics, and applied economics.

In January 2025 I started a new experience as a Research Assistent at ISER, working with the Understanding Society Family team. The objective of the project is to improve and raise awareness of the family, relationships and children’s data in the study.
