Postgraduate study funding

HealthMod Linked Studentship

Policy Modelling for Health is a £7.5 million UKRI-funded consortium tackling the economic drivers of ill health and inequalities through cutting-edge computational modelling. Led by the University of Glasgow with partners including the University of Essex, the programme is developing SimPaths, a dynamic microsimulation framework that explores how health and economic inequalities evolve and how policies on taxation, welfare, employment and housing can shape outcomes.

As part of this initiative, the Centre for Microsimulation and Policy Analysis (CeMPA) at Essex is offering a fully funded three-year PhD studentship. The successful candidate will join an international team of researchers, working at the frontier of health and economic inequality research, with full fees covered, a stipend of £20,870 per year, and additional research training support.
