This Multidisciplinary Workshop on Education aims to facilitate an exchange and discussion concerning the latest developments in social science research on education in a stimulating environment. The workshop will bring together researchers from different fields (economics, linguistics, psychology, sociology, etc.) with intermediary bodies and practitioners to present their work on education. The aim is to bring into view the whole educational cycle from primary and secondary education, to university, and the transition to the labour market. Potential topics include issues relating to teaching and learning, education and social mobility, attainment and aspirations, transition in and out of education.
When: 23rd-24th March 2015.

Successful applicants will be assigned to either a poster or presentation session. There is no registration fee. Transport costs (up to £70), and accommodation of one night will be paid for.
Refreshments will be provided throughout the day and there will be a paid conference dinner on the evening of 23rd.

How to reach the University of Essex: Take a train from London Liverpool Street train station to Colchester train station. The journey takes roughly one hour. Take a taxi from the train station to the University of Essex North Towers. This will take around 15 minutes.
