Social Policy Analyst
Horacio Levy is a Social Policy Economist at the OECD’s Jobs and Income division at the Directorate for Employment, Labour and Social Affairs. His research interests are the analysis of income inequality and poverty, household consumption and wealth, and the impact of social and fiscal policies on the redistribution of income. He worked for many years on the development of the EU tax-benefit microsimulation model (EUROMOD) and used it extensively for academic analysis and policy evaluation. His current work includes the analysis of the middle-class living-standards in OECD countries, looking in particular at income, labour, consumption and wealth patterns as well as policy alternatives.
