I am an economist working on applied research on labor and health economics. Some of my current and recent work examines:
- Labor Economics: drivers of the decline in earnings inequality in Latin American countries; the impact of women's transition into market occupations on the wage structure; the effect of advances in information and communication technologies on residual wage inequality; the use of formal labor markets as a coping mechanism to mitigate violent shocks.
- Health Economics: structural drivers of unequal access to health services; the effect of local competition among insurers on heath outcomes in Colombia.
