EUROMODTax-benefit microsimulation model for the European Union
EUROMOD User Course 16-18 April 2013
EUROMOD is a tax-benefit microsimulation model for the European Union (EU) that enables researchers and policy analysts to calculate, in a comparable manner, the effects of taxes and benefits on household incomes for the population of each country and for the EU as a whole.
A EUROMOD user course will be held over three days from the 16th to the 18th of April, 2013. The aim of the course is to introduce new users to EUROMOD. The course will cover the following topics: structure, concepts, input data, documentation and applications of EUROMOD. It will combine lectures and demonstrations with hands-on exercises using the model.
EUROMOD is available for non-commercial use by academic researchers and those working in the not-for-profit and public sectors. Access to micro-data is subject to permission under conditions set up by the original data providers (please contact us about this). There will be no charge for the course itself but participants will be expected to cover their own travel and subsistence costs.
If you are interested in attending the course, please contact by the 15th of March 2013.
