New publication commemorates achievements of EUROMOD, the tax-benefit microsimulation model

A new brochure, celebrating and commemorating 20 years of EUROMOD, the tax-benefit microsimulation model developed at Essex and now used worldwide, has been published.

The publication, Celebrating 20 years of EUROMOD, includes a foreword by the late Professor Sir Anthony Atkinson who sadly died on 1 January 2017.

In his foreword, Professor Sir Anthony Atkinson described EUROMOD as an ambitious project. “EUROMOD is a great advertisement for bottom-up
research, carried forward by shared enthusiasm and mutual
respect.
When EUROMOD was founded, it was seen as an ambitious,
perhaps over-ambitious, project. Today we should be similarly
ambitious for its future development.”
