Call for papers: MiSoC workshop on parental beliefs, information and investments

The University of Essex will host a one day workshop on 8 May 2017 at the Institute for Social and Economic Research.

This workshop seeks to bring together researchers analysing the role of parental beliefs and information on parental investments. Parental beliefs and information may pertain to different domains, such as the returns to time investments in children, children’s ability, children’s health or school quality.

Keynote speakers will be Professor Orazio Attanasio (University College London) and Professor Flavio Cunha (Rice University).

The workshop will be organised by Professor Sonia Bhalotra, Professor Adeline Delavande, Professor Emilia Del Bono and Dr Birgitta Rabe (University of Essex).

Submission

Please submit your paper or an extended abstract to Paulino Font Gilabert at pfontg@essex.ac.uk by January 31st 2017, using the following in the subject of your email “Workshop on Parental Beliefs, Information and Investments.” Successful applicants will be notified by mid-February. There is no registration fee. Our budget allows us to cover up to £800 per speaker for travel and two nights of accommodation.
